If you don't have a rice cooker, and I don't a general rule of thumb is to put the rice into a saucepan and add water until it comes up to roughly the second knuckle of your forefinger, put a well fitting lid and cook on low for 12-15 min. You can also do the same in the microwave just cooks a little faster
