It is an x-ray picture of the human breast.Sometimes MRI is used,but generally a mammogram is used to help detect breast lumps that if untreated can develop into,cysts or even tumors.This is something I strongly urge you to discuss with your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about this.Good luck !
