I order to make the Icons smaller on windows 7 Desktop click on the right mouse button when your mouse is located on the desktop. A little window will open there you will be able to choose the option “view” and then the size of Icons you wish to have on your Desktop: Large Medium or Classic. If you wish to change the size of Icons when you open a document file you can choose the option “View” that’s located on the top of the window to the left. There you will be able to choose the size of Icon you wish to see.
