    why are the clouds black?

    It's gunna rain... Clouds look black before a rain because they are full of ice and water droplets, this makes it difficult for the sun to 'light it up'.  Clouds are made of moisture, if there is much moisture, they look dark, on a nice day, the cloud still has moisture but its more of a mist and the sun can shine through or 'light it up'.. They look white.
