    1/11   as a decimal would be 1 divided by 11.  Go 3 places past the decimal point and round to the nearest 100, dropping the thousandth.  The decimal is in hundredths.  Remove the decimal point from the front of the numbers and put a % sign at the end. 
    1/11  =  0.0909......        = .09    = 9%   roughly
