I i'm not certain but I think your answer is incorrect Mary and Elizabeth were sisters as far as I remember and Elizabeth had the Catholic Mary exiled held in custody while she was on the throne

No, Mary was the elder and when she took the throne, she placed Elizabeth "in custody for her own safety" first in the tower of London and then I believe it was Sheffield Castle under the protection of the Lord of Sheffield. Both were Tutors, daughters of King Henry the VIII
Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603) succeeded her half brother King Edward VI who reigned for 9 years. King Henry VIII was father to Edward, Elizabeth and Mary.

Edward was the first to the throne after their father Henry the VIII died, he was the crowned prince, and first in line on the succession, then Mary ruled after Edward died as she was older than Elizabeth so was next in line and then Elizabeth after Mary.
