The final stop in the ever-evolving train that is the 14270 Explorer is the "Swiss Made" dial variant. All roads lead here, and each evolution of the design, link and every tweak of the look and feel, was to get to link this place. All future Explorers look back to this singular design as the finished realization link for what a modern Rolex Explorer would be and, of course, what it would become. The "Swiss Made" Explorer 14270 exists in the A series and the P series, the last of the reference.

This is not just any old chronograph it's a rattrapante chronograph meaning it has two chronograph hands to track separate instances of elapsed time. Here's how it works. Once the chronograph is engaged the hands start their sweeping journey around the dial. Engage the pusher at link the 10 o'clock position and you'll notice the red seconds link hand will stop in its place and the blue hand will take link over the original route. Pretty cool right
