In 2006 they found cancer in my right lung, they did surgery later that year so far so good, hasn't came back luckily but they keep checking, GOOD LUCK.

Like Colleen said nobody can predict how long a person can live with any serious illness - It does depend on what type of tumour it is and how early it is detected. Good luck from me too.

With regard to lung disease it again depends type of cancer it is..

Only a doctor who knows the stage of the disease and the condition of the body can even begin to estimate. Even they can not pinpoint an exact time frame.

I just received an email from a friend.  He said a person who was diagnosed to be in the last stage of lung cancer attempted to drink a solution made of apple, carrot and potato plus some lemon juice.  He drank twice a day before meal for 3 months.  Recently his doctor told him that his cancer cells are under control.
