    what is the difference between dinner and supper?

    lunch is at lunch time dinner is at dinner time which is normally at 5pm supper is a light snack around 8/9pm

    I guess the Lord's Supper was a light snack with only bread and wine.

    I say same. Where I lived growing up it was supper. But we Hillbillies r always different

    Dinner is usually more substantial than supper.  Dinner for some people comes at noon, for others at evening.

    Growing up in my time it was about 5 hours. Now, my dinner time has been replaced with lunch, and my supper time has been replaced with dinner. It just depends where (and when) you live.

    dinner is what you eat while having supper..
