Instructions
Windows Vista and 7
1Right-click the taskbar and click "Properties" to launch the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box.
2Click the "Notification Area" tab. Place a check on "Volume" under "System icons."
3Click "Apply" to save the changes and click "OK." You should now see the volume icon on the taskbar.
Windows XP
1Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel."
2Click the "Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices" option and click "Change the speaker settings" under "Pick a task."
3Select the "Volume" tab and place a checkmark on the " Place volume icon in the taskbar " option and click "OK" to save the changes.
