Usually when you are changing printers, the new printer will come with a driver disc. Simply insert it in your disc tray after having connected the printer to your CPU. After you have run the disc, it will tell you when installation of the driver program is complete. Go to the file tab at the top left hand side of the screen going through a program such as word. Click on the file tab; print , save, etc., etc choices will drop down in a menu. Click on print, and there you will see a small box open up with your old and new printers listed. Select your new printer and double click on it. You should be ready to print..

There is another way, but I find this the simplest. Maybe someone will explain the other way for you. But, this way should work well for you.
