Do not know the cost but it sure is effective as I found out on my recent trip to Switzerland.

As far as heating costs go reverse cycle air conditioning is still the cheapest heating available and costs in Australia for normal sized house  under $10,000 installed. That is fully ducted to complete house with isolation control to close off rooms as required.

A standard split system is about $3,500 installed and does excellent job.

The cost of radiant floor heating ranges from $6 to $15 per square foot for radiant floor heating to be installed. This means from $9,000 to $22,000 for a 1,500 square foot home. It may not be required to do one's entire home though in order to save money on heating costs.
