      Lewy body disease is a condition in which abnormal structures (Lewy bodies) form in the brain. Lewy body is a very common cause of dementia – a loss of mental function that affects normal human activities.         I had a friend and colleague who died with this dreadful condition. His wife wrote me a letter describing his decline. I cried when I read it.
