Is roanoke, va a nice place to live. been doin research and is wondering how actual people who live there or has lived there feel about it. Th economy, weather, crime levels. Is it a good place to rasi eyour family? I really want to move to Virginia in 9 mos or so. Give me some advice. Thank You!

There are many nice communities in VA...What are the most important things you are looking for? Good public schools? Outdoor recreation? A University Town? Cultural interests (theatre, opera, fine arts, excellent crafters...like potters (HI Fishy) )? Churches? Culteral diversity? Warm, cold, snowy? Access to water- a river or beach? Being close enough to a city to easily drive there and back in a day? Figure that out and I can help you find websites.
