      No like the old saying goes one who tries to be their own lawyer has a fool for a client.

        For small claims court type of law suits (like going after a tow truck operator for illegally towing your car, yes.  Otherwise, it's worthwhile to get a legal hired gun.  I never regretted paying attorney fees to fight my battles, and I have never lost having hired an attorney.
