They are more economical and have more machined parts in the engines . Given that they have recently put Diesel up so much per litre over the price of petrol they may not be any cheaper to run as the extra price of diesel eats into there economic savings that and you pay a premium in the first place and if anthing goes wrong with them like the fuel pump or injectors they are so much more expensive tp repair than a set of plugs and coils
