Have the words that the person who hands the folded American flag to at a military funeral been changed? Do the words still include "From a grateful Nation and the President of the United States, or has the "President" been changed to "the Defense Department"?
I received information in an email saying that the above change has been made. I doubt that it has, but want to confirm.

Numerous internet sources say that the email that claims that there was a change in the US military funeral protocol is fraudulent, and that it's text is false. A conversation with the spokeswoman for the Department of Defense made it clear that there were no changes in that protocol. For additional confirmations you may go to the following links:
