Since you are the Great I am, how about you tell us? Was it the big bang?

The univers has no origin - It's is and always was and will always will be.  The way humans think, this does not equate, everything in our lives has beginning and ending, everything we see and feel is governed by 3 dimensions,  so.. We have this that also contains our thinking, Quantum Physics  (string theory)  claims there are 11 dimensions.  No proof yet though.  if and when this 'string theory' is proven, then we will be able to see at least where our universe came from, but still not its origin.  Maybe 1000 years into the future you can ask this question again.. Probably get a much better answer.  Remember, it was only about 500 years ago people thought the sun revolved around earth and that the earth is flat..
