    Could I Contract Hepatitis B (HBV) from kissing an infected person?

    Do you really want to take the chance.

    Hepatitis B virus Transmission results from exposure to blood infected with Hepatitis B or to fluids containing such blood. Therefore, getting infected through kissing is highly unlikely.
    Transmission of the virus can occur through usage of contaminated needles or syringes, transfusion of infected blood, sexual intercourse or from a pregnant mother to her fetus.
    In order to be sure, one can get chacked in a clinic for having been exposed to the virus.
