If you wish to calm down a male dog while a female dog is in heat you can:
1) Neuter the male dog.
2) Masking the female dog’s smell by using Liquid chlorophyll that can be purchased in pet stores or on Amazon:

3) Teaching the male dog to listen to a “Leave it” command in order to make him ignore the female dog smell and regain his attention.
