    My 1994 jaquar xjs trunk will not lock with key or automatically

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

      The key could have gone bad.  My best suggestion is to talk to a dealer about getting a new key I had that happen with a Nissan Altima once.  But bad news those keys are not cheap, but they do wear out and stop working.
