I'm going to purchase a new TV, in the near future. I would like to know what is the best TV on the market, I'm looking to purchase a 60" or bigger. So if you have any advice well apprecitated.

Opinions on this question change. When I was shopping TV's I did the research and ended up with a Pioneer. Great TV, they don't make 'em anymore. Today I hear that Samsung has the market best but that again is someone (s) opinion. Your best bet is do your own research, go to the stores, some people bring their own DVD with them as most stores like to demo cartoons as they offer the sharpest picture on any set. Make your own comparisons, don't be quick to jump on what they tell you to buy because they all get incentives and spiffs. Don't buy when you finally decide which one you like. Write down the model and go home and do a search for reviews on that model, also, you might find it cheaper online, just print the page and take it to yor dealer, they will usually match www prices.. I did that when I bought mine, worked like a charm! I saved myself over 400 bucks.
In the past, BLACK was the most difficult to reproduce in plasma or LCD, thats why if you go back about 10 years, most all TV manufacturers TV's were gray because bad black looks like good black next to grey. Today, most have black cabinets. Not much of an issue anymore.
