In order to separate gold from other metals you will first need to find the melting point of each metal. Then start warming the metal mixture. Every time you will reach a melting point of one of the metals in your mixture you will be able to separate it from the still solid metals that have not reached their melting point.
In order to separate gold from the dross during melting you should add a mixture named Flux before starting the melting process. This mixture will draw out the dross from the gold during melting and create two layers: the dross on top as a thin layer and the gold on the bottom.
