Instructions
1
Right-click on your computer desktop. If you would like to create a folder inside of another folder, like a folder inside "My Documents," double-click to open that folder. Then right-click in an empty space inside of the folder.
2
Highlight "New" with your mouse from the drop-down menu. Once you highlight "New" more menu options will become available.
3
Select "Folder" from the "New" menu.
4
Click inside the name field of the folder. Your folder, by default, is called "New Folder."
5
Use your backspace or delete key to delete the default folder name, then type in your new folder name. You can also change the folder name in the future by right-clicking on the name, and selecting "Rename" from the menu.
6
Open your newly created folder by double-clicking on the folder with your mouse. Once you double-click on it the folder will be open.
