    What causes foot cramps

    Foot cramps may be a result of the following: fatigue of feet after a strenuous activity by them, lack of water in muscle tissues as a result of dehydration, alcohol and tobacco use contribute to foot crams because they promote dehydration, poor blood circulation leads to a lack of oxygen in muscle tissues which also contribute to the cramps, exposure to environmental poisonous substances (from factories, for example), some prescribed medications may lead to foot cramps, pinched nerves (when electrical impulses cannot reach muscles), lack of potassium (causes imbalance of salts in the body), changing hormones levels may cause cramps, imbalanced diet can lead to muscles or nerves malfunction.
