It is actually very easy. Do you have friends and family with Skype adresses?...if so ask them to join your Skype adress book, then you can video phone (or not video phone) them if you see that they are on line. That information pops up in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Also you can pull up your Skype information and see who is on line. It actually is quite something...I get to sit and have a coffee with my Uncle in England and so much more.
