Solar flares heavily influence weather in the vicinity of the Earth. They can produce highly energetic streams of particles in the solar wind. These particles can create radiation hazardous to aircrafts, astronauts, and cosmonauts.
There is no current prediction for a future solar flare. The previous big solar flare was on March this year.
