Not a Question ,but a thank you!

I just wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers regarding my dad's stroke. He is a survivor and is finding his faith again. It's going to be a long slow recovery but the key word here is recovery. He joked lastnight and told me he gets to shower with a different woman every day so I know he is going t be okay.

Hi Mom....I wrote this poem last year and I think it would be nice if you read it to your dad..........

Close your weary eyes, sense His peace

Captive in your pain, He can make it cease

Trust in the Healer, feel the warmth of His touch

He stretched out His arms, said 'I love you this much'

When all feels pointless and you feel there is no hope

Talk to the Shepherd, He will help you to cope

Can you think of another so faithful and true

He whispers your name, yes that name is you

If you walk through the valley of worry and fear

You can rest in His promise, 'I will always be near'

His Word and His love, they will comfort you

So rest now my friend, ' I will carry you through'

Didn't know about your dads stroke Mom.

Hope he has a speedy recovery.

My dad had a stroke years back. Its a tough recovery but doable.

Good luck to you and your dad.

    mom

Thank you TSC...one thing about this kind of thing is it brings back the family devotion that gets mixed up and taken for granted over the years.

You look pretty young, so I would assume your dads not that old. It was sad to watch my dad when he was going through it. It got frustrating for me when I couldn't understand him and he couldn't write things down either. Hes gone now (87) and his death was not attributed to the stroke. I miss him. That was about 7 years ago,
    mom

That must have been very hard. My dad was lucky in that he didn't loose his ability to talk. The left side is paralyzed but he can use his right side. He is only 67 so he is very young for this but also very strong and stubborn which is in his favour.

Mom:  What a blessing for your dad to have such a loving daughter to stand by him and help him during this difficult time. I'm sure he is  so proud  to have raised such a wonderful daughter.

    mom

I appreciate you thinking that, I am the lucky one to have a relationship like this with my family.Thank you for your support.

Thank you Dollybird, We are all hoping the recovery will be full, if not we will deal with what comes.Your thoughts and prayers have been a big part in the process.

Wish all of you well. Ever wonder why tears are salty.

    mom

No I never considered why...would you enlighten me?Thanks ed shank;)

I am relieved to hear this about your dad. You and I have talked so much about this stroke business.... And I know your mom is grateful. And your dad-----laughter is the best medicine.... You are a good daughter.............JHH

:D   Wonderful news!  Prayers still be said!

    mom

Thank you to you and your church for the prayers,it has made a difference.

Don't forget to say "Amen".    Amen!

    mom

lol...;) thanks for the smile this morning...what a way to start my day xo

Yay!!! Good news! I'm so happy for all of you!! Can you tell me, how did it go on the house they wanted? Were you able to save it?

    mom

We were not able to save it and the owner decided he was going to sue my parents but in the end took the deposit instead. Money creates a very ugly side in people sometimes.Thank you for your thoughts Colleen.

How rotten of him!! Karma will come back on him for that. Maybe it is life saying that house was not good for your parents. Can you imagine the negative energy that owner will be leaving behind for the next people? I'm sure there is a better house out there for them.
    mom

You know, my mom and I were saying that the other day. The message couldn't be any clearer that they weren't supposed to go there.

brilliant news about your dad, sorry the house fell through, what a despicable thing to do, but your dads health is far more important, you must be very relieved,

    mom

Thank you....I agree about the house but thats water under the bridge now. we have a lot to face ahead of us in regards to my dads recovery but the word recovery stands out. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers...it means a lot to us.
