Doctors say that the ideal time for circumcising is 24 to 72 hours after birth. As days go by after the birth, blood vessels develop at a boy's foreskin, which leads to stronger bleeding during circumcision, and as a result the child is more disturbed, in comparison to circumcisions at earlier ages.
Sometimes babies have a health condition that won't allow circumcising at the recommended age, and thus circumcision will have to be postponed.
