COUNT ZSIGMOND SZÉCHENYI is one of the most considerable person in the Hungarian hunting culture. He is widely known as a writer, but the science life also thanks so much to him as zoologist and collector. Count Zsigmond Széchenyi was born on January 23, 1898 in Nagyvárad. His great-great grandfather was Ferenc Széchenyi, who founded the National Museum. His great-grandfather was Lajos Széchenyi - who was the brother of Count István Széchenyi - wrote the first special book about the hunting rules in Hungarian language. His grandfather was Dénes Széchenyi, who wrote a book about the coaches and horses, which is still a basic literary work in this respect. His father, Viktor Széchenyi was the "chronicler" of the family.
