    recovering addict of 18 years with 4 one day slips... married with a stepson addicted to pain meds who steals mine... And he lives with us and does nothing.

    This question was posted ten months ago.  I hope your life is getting better. 


    I truly do.


    Keep trying.  Give it your all.  If you slip, start over again.


    I wish my best friend had listened and kept on trying.  Don't be a statistic.  You owe yourself that much.  ... And, be tough.  Don't enable.

    I think your life can get better. Sometimes everything looks worst than it realy is. I think you and your husband should talk to your son about going to rehabilitation, and about what he wants to do with his life.
    Keep reaching out and talking to others, it helps dealing with hardships.
