    3. How can I get rid of the Alert "Threat has been detected" which has been sounding every 10 min. or so for the past week. I have run Malware both the full scan and several of the shorter scans, and my service provider security, and both indicate that the computer is fine and protected? Thanks.

      You downloaded a crap program that is doing this to try and get you to buy their product. Check your programs and find the one you do not recognize as one you downloaded or need and remove it.
