Save the document that you would like to attach in AOL Mail under the folder My Documents in the word precessing program that you used to write it.

Log into AOL with your screen name and password. Once the system is fully loaded, click on the write icon on the top tool bar in AOL. This is the icon that is shaped like an envelope.

Enter the recipient's address, subject of the email and write the email into the corresponding spots in the writing template that appears on your screen.

Click on the button in the lower left corner of the writing screen that says attach file. The screen that appears will list all of the documents under the My Documents folder. Locate the document that you want to attach.

Click once on the name of the document to highlight it in the screen. Go down to the lower right corner of the attach file screen and click on the Open button. The document is now attached to your email in AOL mail and is ready to be sent.
