Remove tendons from livers. Place in baking dish so that the livers are almost two inches deep. Grate fresh black pepper and then sprinkle generously with soy sauce, then buttered bread crumbs so that they form a crust. Bake at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes or until firm.

I have the liver from the chicken as a cooks treat! When I have put bird in the oven, I clean the liver, and saute it in butter after coating it in bread crumbs and garlic salt. That and a beer, holds me till the bird is ready, sometimes I do the heart at same time, split it first.
