      HI  THE TRANSMISSION SENDER TELLS THE E.M.U.  OR ENGINE MANAGEMENT UNIT AT WHAT POSITION THE CRANKSHAFT IS SO AS TO ADJUST THE FIRING OF THE SPARK PLUGS AND OPENING OF FUEL INJECTORS ON THE FIRING SEQUENCE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SENDER IT WILL UPSET THIS  AND MAKE THE ENGINE SOUND ROUGH USE MORE FUEL OR WON'T WORK AT ALL
