    What if we want to chat with them, without the whole world looking on and reading it.

      Scroll down the page to the 'Contact' tab.  Click on it and ask the admin if they can contact the someone you would like to email and would those members be interested in sharing email addresses.

        Contact a moderator, they can email the person you wish to chat with and ask them if it's OK........
