Before the first world war europe was a hodge podge of agreements and treaties between a hugh number of countries, there was the Ottoman Empire, The British Empire, The Austro-Hungrian Empire, The German Empire, The Russian Empire, Italy, France and a host of others, With so many treaties it was a matter of time before somthing happened to ignite the powder keg. On June 28 1914 Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand heir to the Austro-Hugrian throne was assinated and that was the spark that began the whole thing.
