Compression of a gas is to reduce volume by increasing pressure.
Oxygen combines chemically with hydrogen to produce water. The same volumes of oxygen and hydrogen as in a glass of water when ignited produces about 56,000,000 BTUs of heat and that is about equal to heat derived from burning 1/2 gallon of kerosine in an efficient stove. But with oxygen and hydrogen combined the result is water. Kerosine and oxygen combine for a little heat and a copious volume toxic gasses. Our culture has chosen toxic gas generators over water because our economy is based on toxic gas generators.
Fact checking is part of learning and growing what is true and what is bogus. That is the challenge of information in answer.
