      In military terms, logistics is the procurement, distribution, replacement, and maintenance of supplies and personnel.
      The more General meaning of logistics is the management and arrangements of details of an organization.

        As Ben said,it's the management of the flow resources,goods and services,it also involves the co ordination of supply and destination and method of transport, it also involves inventory,warehousing and manufacturing
