In a scientific research, a repetition is one of few subjects/items treated in a uniform way. For instance: when conducting an experiment with test tubes, the test tubes are devided into groups, and each group receives a different treatment. Every test tube within a group is called a repetition - it is a repetition of the same treatment that all the other test tubes within that group receive.
