I found I had one more answer in me!

An age old question that research scientists from Warrick and Sheffield universities (UK) believe they have answered. According to them "the chicken must have come first as the formation of eggs is only possible thanks to a protein (Ovocledidin 17) found in the chickens ovaries".

In a evolutionary sense the chicken had to come first in order to lay the egg and it takes two chickens to fertilize the egg in order to get the chicken which lays the egg. Woooo.....

Yay!! Congratulations and welcome to the chicken/egg club!!

There are certain questions that must appear on your computer in Neon! It is hilarious!

They appeared simultaineously, hence the confusion... a miracle really.

i dont think it really matters cause without the rooster the hen will not be able to lay fertile eggs those are eggs that have baby chickens in them. but i guess if you must have an answer it would be "both" they came @ the same time that way the egg possibly hatched into a rooster so it could do the hen and have fertile eggs(more babies)

Evolution could dictate the fowl came first and could have evolved into an egg layer.
If we're just going to make stuff up that is.
