I truly sympathize with you. Aside from taking a prescription or an OTC med, I have found eating prunes (they come in various flavors these days), and almonds is a daily habit I have formed that keeps me right on track. Usually 4 prunes or about a fourth cup of almonds will do the trick. You may have to experiment to find what works for you. I will put them in my cereal (hot or cold) in the morning. Some use the new yogurt, Activia. That is expensive though. Hope this helps.
