      Under humid conditions, people perspire more because the rate at which perspiration evaporates on skin is lower than it would be under arid conditions.

        And in the arid conditions, the body would not have surplus moisture to shed, as in the humid condition.  You could not perspire, as it would be dangerous to your well being.
