Things You'll Need
Socket wrench
Glow plug socket
Socket extension

Instructions

Open the hood and pull the glow plug wires off the top of the engine. To do this, grab the plug wire at the base (at the plug) and pull the plug off the top of the engine.

Attach the glow plug socket to the socket extension and lower the socket into the plug well.

Orient the socket so that it grabs onto the the top of the glow plug.

Turn the socket counterclockwise with a socket wrench to remove the glow plug.

Pull the glow plug out of the plug well and pull the old plug out of the end of the socket.

Insert a new plug with the electrode end facing outward.

Lower the plug into the plug well and thread and tighten the plug.

Push the glow plug wire back over the top of the glow plug.
