      I wouldn't waste time, go to the ER. The pain is too close to the kidney and you mention swelling. Go, now.


      (I do not have a medical degree) I would still listen to me though.

        Sounds like a kidney infection!  Get help immediately!  Hopefully you already have!

          Listen to Colleen.It could be kidney stone or a kidney infection.Either one you don't wan't to muck about.get to the ER.
