        Any good electronics store can tell you. I think some of the TV's list the running hours in their manuals.

        I don't blame your husband, I'd object too. Why don't you use an ear piece? Or, put the tv in another room. The flickering is disconcerting for someone who is trying to sleep. For goodness sake take pity on the man, I'm not a man, by the way. I'm ashamed of you itsmee.

            I sleep in the other room, eggplant! I use ear pieces. He's worried about me wearing out the TV. I don't know how fast they wear out ... nor does he.

              40 inch screens last like 2500 hours if I remember right. The bigger they are, the faster they wear out.
