    The answer is very simple.

Of course, 68 is a composite number.

It cannot be prime number - prime numbers are those which has only one factor, which is the same number [excluding 1, since 1 is the factor of all numbers]

As 68 is divisible by 1, 2, 4, 17, 34 & 68. So it is a composite number but not the prime number.

Hope this has helped you to some extent to identify the prime number and composite number.
