A few treatment guidelines for those who suffer from dry skin:
- Try reducing the number of daily showers, and try showering for shorter periods and with warm water, not hot.
- Use a cleanser with added moisturizers, and that have no fragrance to it. Avoid true soaps that remove fat from the skin.
- Avoid exposure to dry and cold air, which removes moisture from the skin and may lead to chapped and dry skin. A humidifier help moisturizing rooms' air.
- Use a thick moisturizing lotion several times a day.
- Drink water for moisturizing of the skin from its inner side.
