Thanks for the sensible answer Eggy.

Darwin as stated is not derived from any aboriginal dialect, as far as I know it was named in honour of Charles Darwin of "Voyage of the Beagle" fame.

We do have a lot of Aboriginal names for towns and they  are melodic in their pronunciation.

     Parramatta (where the eels lie)

    Toongabbie (place of many eels)

to the hooded one that wants the translation from aboriginal to darwin,it's simple.

a person of the so called white race that view thierself as someone better than other

race of peoples, but in reality thay are less than the people, that thay are trying to berate.

    see very simple.

    Are you Australian Truth teller?
As a white Australian I can assure you I do not see myself as better than anyone else as far as "in reality they are less than the people that they are trying to berate"
Is not that what you are doing to the "so called white race"
I am sorry if your experiences have clouded your mind but unfortunately there are good and bad in all races.
    Try mixing with winners.
