      No.  Male of all species in the animal kingdom have a hard time hearing, not to mention listening.

        Yes,they do. The eastern highland male giant chimps, on the other hand, have enormous eardrums. Sadly, this physical deformity has led to numerous documented cases of female gorilla belittlement.
